Ryoma was picking at the leftover slice of strawberry shortcake when Fuji came into his hotel room through the connecting door. He was smiling thoughtfully. Ryoma twirled his fork and gave him a bored look.
"So?" he asked, sounding completely disinterested.
"I like him," Fuji said. He seated himself beside Ryoma on the couch and looked at the table strewn with platters of half-eaten desserts and empty Ponta cans. "I see you two had some bonding time."
Ryoma shrugged.
Fuji chuckled. "Raito-kun didn't seem too fond of the wasabi sushi I offered him. But he was fun." His smile this time was full of private amusement. "It's a shame he's so terrified of my age."
Ryoma snorted. "That's the least of the things he should be terrified of."
--
"This is the fourteenth email I've received from him in two days," said Raito, staring at the computer screen.
"You should be flattered." L meticulously dropped his seventh sugar cube in his cup of tea with his left hand; with his right, he clicked open another window on his laptop. "The NHK website has been updated with the news report on Kira fanatics. I really think they should leave these kinds of reports to tabloids."
Raito was still frowning at his computer. "When does he have time to send all of these, anyway? He's in a band! Shouldn't he be...singing, or something? Taping a music video? Having an interview?"
"It seems that a new theory has risen about Kira not being one person but a group of religious zealots. Interesting. Not entirely credible, of course."
"He's fifteen," Raito said, clenching his fists. The blue-white light from the monitor flickered across his face. "Doesn't he understand that I'm just not interested in someone that young?"
L dropped another sugar cube in his tea and looked up. "Lying will only increase my suspicions of Raito-kun being Kira," he said.

Oishi looked worried when Fuji mentioned his and Ryoma's visitors the night previous. He looked even more worried when Fuji told him that they'd invited their guests in.
"That's dangerous, Fuji!" he exclaimed. "They could've been crazy fans."
"They were," Fuji said, smiling.
That stopped Oishi. Then he blinked and said, "They-they could have done something dangerous! They could've hurt either of you. It's really not safe, Fuji. Please be more careful in the future."
"Don't worry, Oishi. I know what I'm doing," Fuji said, patting his arm as he walked past into the cafe for their morning interview with a local television station. His expression was as sunny as the morning.
Ryoma was amused as he followed. "Fuji likes Raito-kun," he told Oishi.
"Lord help us all," murmured Tezuka as he, too, passed the frozen and resigned Oishi. His expression was weary as he gave Oishi a sympathetic nod.
With a sigh, Oishi finally followed his bandmates into the cafe and greeted the reporter politely with a slight bow and a strained smile. She seated them at a table and offered to buy them drinks--Ryoma asked for a mocha, drawing a frown from Tezuka--before signaling to her cameraman. From the list she'd clearly prepared beforehand, she asked Aozu many standard questions about their current projects and any future plans.
"We're going to get a little more personal, if you don't mind," she after a good twenty minutes had been spent discussing Tezuka's contribution towards songwriting. She giggled girlishly at them, making Ryoma roll his eyes and Oishi give her an indulgent smile.
"Go ahead," he said warmly, "though of course we won't be spilling all of our secrets."
"Well, firstly," she said, "do any of you have girlfriends?"
Tezuka coughed.
Her eyes flicked to him. Oishi opened his mouth but Fuji had beaten him.
"Well, Tezuka has something you could call a love affair with his fishing boat, but that's probably the only female being unrelated to him that he loves. Echizen is too young for such things. Oishi has a boyfriend. And I," said Fuji, beaming, "am searching for someone."
"O-oh," stammered the reporter, overwhelmed at the influx of information.
"His name is Yagami Raito, born February 28, 1986, blood type A, height 179 cm, weight 54kg, and he likes justice," Fuji added.
--
"Oh my god," said Raito, dropping the remote.
"I think he's trying to tell you something," L told him. He wriggled his toes and mused to himself: that certainly puts a new spin to "I know where you live." Only, of course, he didn't.
Yet.

Their afternoon was spent in a frantic rush of damage control, their irritated assistant manager fielding phone calls left and right. He took the time to lecture Fuji about appropriate behavior, which was cut off after fifteen minutes when the manager stepped in, notebook open and glasses glinting under his dark hair.
"Fuji," he said coolly. "Your little stunt has pulled us more publicity than we've had in the past two months. Hits to Aozu's website have increased by 254%. Sales of the new single are expected to spike again. Television and radio stations are all clamoring for interviews." He smiled. "Well done."
"Thank you, Ohtori-san," Fuji replied.
--
Inui took a break from Cap to Bin's strenuous dance practice and drank long from his water bottle. He wiped the sweat off his brow with a towel and checked his phone. Ah, a text from Fuji. He opened it.
Thank you for the research, it read. Dinner? ^_^
Inui raised an eyebrow and texted back: I have plans with Tezuka. While his boyfriend was accepting on most issues up to and including Cap to Bin's friendly rivalry with Aozu, Kikumaru and Oishi's open relationship, and his and Inui's awkward long-distance romance (if it could be called such), he was still uneasy on the idea of Fuji and Inui's friendship.
Ryoma had summed it up for him: Too much creepy and evil in one place. The boy had then shuddered and removed himself to the other side of the room to call his cat.
Fuji's careless response--Another time, then.--made Inui chuckle to himself the next time he checked his phone. He entered his own message before he set his phone aside to change clothes.
Introduce to me to this Yagami Raito next time.

"I'm not interested in a fifteen-year-old boy!" Raito shouted.
L did not bother to reply that said fifteen-year-old boy was certainly interested in him. The fifty-foot television screen in the busy shopping district said as much. With giant scrolling hearts.
It was really rather sweet, if you thought about it.
--
"Fuji Syuusuke," Atobe Keigo drawled from behind the lowered window. "Causing scandals, as usual."
Fuji smiled and slid into the limo. "Thanks for the ride," he said.
--
"There's a limo outside the hotel," L reported, staring with interest out of the large window to twenty-four stories below.
Raito glanced up from the police report he'd been examining with determination. "This is a very nice hotel, L," he said indifferently. "Limos are not a rare occurence around here. Now, I think this report is interesting, if you take a look at these dates--"
L ignored him, perched on the arm of the sofa as he continued peering. "That looks suspiciously like Fuji-san, Raito-kun."
Raito paled as the investigators around him looked up in interest.
"That boy who's been chasing you?" Chief Yagami asked, setting down the sheaf of papers in his hand. "Isn't he the one in that band Sayu likes?"
"Isn't it sweet?" Matsuda said excitedly, happily abandoning the tapes he'd been organizing by date. "How'd you meet him, anyway? Didn't you and L go that concert a few weeks ago? Did you meet him there?"
Raito unfolded himself from the couch and went to the window. "I," he said in response to his father and Matusda's queries. "I think I'm being played by a fifteen-year-old," he said, letting his forehead fall against the glass with a quiet thunk. "How the hell did he even figure out where I was? Isn't this place top-secret?" The question was directed at L.
"Of course," said L. "Only we know about our headquarters here. So it stands to reason that Fuji-san must have had the aid of someone with knowledge of our location."
Raito lifted his head and stared hard at him. His eyes narrowed after a moment. "L," he growled.
L shook his head. "Not I, Raito-kun." He hopped off his perch on the sofa arm and turned towards the door just as someone knocked rapidly and threw it open.
Misa tripped inside, beaming, her short skirt flaring and her pigtails swinging. Her hand was wrapped around Fuji's upper arm, tugging him after her. "I have a present for Raito-kun," she cheered.
--
Inui rubbed efficiently at Tezuka's shoulders and neck, receiving a low sigh and loosening of tense coiled muscles for his trouble. "You're 30% more wound up than usual," he remarked.
Tezuka murmured, "Fuji."
Inui dug his fingers gently into bare skin. "Ah. He's with Yagami-san at the moment, I assume?"
A quiet grunt confirmed his guess.
Inui was silent for a few minutes, massaging Tezuka. Then he said, "I would like to meet Yagami-san. Fuji tells me he has a very interesting notebook."
--
Ryoma said to L sometime after their second slice of cake, each, "You told Misa-Misa to tell Fuji where you were. You cheated. You still owe me twenty bucks."

Omake:
"I can't believe I'm dating a fifteen-year-old," Raito repeated, his head falling back into the pillow. He slapped a hand to his face in disbelief.
"That's the twelfth time you've said that," Fuji told him. He curled up against Raito's side, sliding a leg over Raito's. He smiled and said nonchalantly, "Saa, what can I say? I'm a sexual predator."
"Oh my God," said Raito. "Don't you have a band to be in or something?"
Fuji hummed and licked his cheek. "Tell me more about this Death Note of yours."
Two weeks later, Raito was cleared of all suspicion when Tezuka Kunimitsu was found dead and Fuji was found in Inui's arms.
"You were just using him this entire time?" Inui asked, trying to write in his notebook around the Fuji in his lap.
Fuji smiled innocently. "I told him I was a sexual predator," he said, shrugging.

"I still think I would make a great singer," Tamaki insisted as he draped himself over Kyouya, pouting. "You should manage me!"
"I do that at home already," Kyouya said dryly. "I see no need to make my life hell all hours of the day."
Somehow this is all still
moonythestrals' fault. Speaking of Kyle, READ HER AWESOME HP/PoT CROSSOVER FIC NOW. It has MomoKai, Harry/Draco, Harry/Kaidoh, and what I proclaim as Parselsmut though it's really not. Awesome, like I said.
