Super Junior (M), Kyuhyun/Zhou Mi, PG, 330 words
Because Kyuhyun's skin problems are remarkably endearing.
Someone Up There really liked Kyuhyun. He played more Starcraft and spent more time online, laptop screen bright in the darkness of his room, than should be allowed for someone to still have perfect vision.
On the other hand, he couldn’t brag much about his skin. It was the bane of their make-up artists, all of whom sighed as they dabbed foundation over his acne, wishing that they had Sungmin and his perfect skin to work with. But Kyuhyun was slowly growing out of that, as his hormone levels shifted and he adjusted his diet.
It was a product of Zhou Mi's tender, loving care, Zhou Mi informed him in no uncertain terms. He was a huge advocate of skin-care products and would willingly spend hundreds of yuan on something promising.
"I don't think my sister has this many bottles of cream and moisturizer and face wash," Kyuhyun told him, exasperated.
Zhou Mi just set his jaw and said stubbornly, "You should be grateful I'm concerned." Then he would drag Kyuhyun to the bathroom and demand he scrub his face down with the new product he'd bought - smells of orchids, he said cheerfully, and with microbeads of moisture to keep your skin fresh and soft! He'd hand Kyuhyun a towel afterwards, and beam hopefully at him as he wiped off his face.
Kyuhyun didn't have the heart to snap at him, as he handed over a smaller bottle of acne-free cream, to be applied twice a day after thoroughly cleaning affected areas.
"It worked for Donghae," Zhou Mi said solemnly.
That's because Someone Up There really liked Donghae, Kyuhyun thought, slightly disgruntled. More so than that Someone apparently liked Kyuhyun.
Zhou Mi rubbed a thumb over his cheek, smile warm as Kyuhyun recapped the bottle with a sigh. It seemed like, down here, Kyuhyun really liked Zhou Mi and all his good intentions.
It helped, he guessed, that his skin was improving. Slightly. Slowly. With Zhou Mi's slightly dictatorial, loving care.
