“What did Ares want?” asked Apollo, lounging back on the settee.
Hermes shrugged and climbed on top of him. “He was looking for Aphrodite.” He laid his head on Apollo’s shoulder. “Play me something.”
Apollo lifted his lyre and stroked it idly, music floating from the strings. “Did you tell him?”
Snorting, Hermes shook his head. “Tell the god of war that his beloved is off seducing Uncle Poseidon? I think not.” He smirked. “I told him she was probably with Eros.”
Apollo smiled mischievously. “Anteros will hate you.”
“I try,” said Hermes modestly, slipping his arms around his brother.
