Title: Prendre le Soleil
Fandom: Gokusen 2
Pairing: Hayato/Ryu
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: If I owned Gokusen 2, it would be a hell of a lot better. And it wouldn't be much gayer, 'cause they've got that pretty well covered, but I'd definitely include more Hayato&Ryu smex. :3 And I don't own Jin or Kame either, alas.

Ryu wakes up to Hayato in his bed in all the best of ways.

Prendre le Soleil
Catching the Sun

Ryu grunted slightly when an elbow came into contact with his midriff, hard enough to make him flinch, and peeled his eyes open groggily. A blurry vision of white and golden brown greeted him and he blinked, slowly returning to consciousness. Morning… Pale light filtered through his window, casting stark squares of different shades of white on his bed, too early for the sun to exert more effort.

A sleepy murmur reminded him of the body beside him and Ryu glanced over at Hayato, who was sprawled over more than half the bed, hair tousled and breathing steady. A smile tugged at Ryu’s lips. His best friend was such a—well, he was unique. Playful and irresponsible at times, but stubborn to a fault and incredibly passionate.

Not just in bed either… Ryu’s smile turned into a smirk as he propped himself up on an elbow and leaned over Hayato, sliding a hand over the bare skin of his shoulder. As he buried his head in the crook of Hayato’s neck, taking in the distinct scent of sweat and skin and Hayato, Ryu turned contemplative. He supposed he had Yamaguchi to thank for restoring the rift that had come between the two of them those months ago, and part of him wondered why they hadn’t just taken the first steps by themselves because it had been so easy to fall back into their rhythm of camaraderie. They’d ended up even closer than before and maybe, well, maybe it was because they’d learned their importance to each other, after time apart, and maybe that senseless teacher of theirs with all of her ideals and morals actually had something behind all of her words.

Ryu started when Hayato sighed and shifted, rolling over to face him. He flicked his eyes over the other boy’s features, long lashes casting shadows on his cheeks, lips parted as he breathed, hair a complete mess…

A little curl of smugness unfurled through Ryu’s stomach as he glanced at Hayato’s tangled hair. He’d wreaked chaos with the locks last night, fingers threading through and gripping hard, clutching Hayato’s head to him, kisses fierce and hot and plentiful. He was rather glad that his room was in the far corner of his house and that his parents had been out late at some social function, because Ryu and Hayato had definitely been far from quiet.

Never play billiards with Hayato again, Ryu determined, at least not when his best friend was in pants like that. He’d been distracted the entire night they’d been out with Tsuchi, Take, and Hyuuga, though he thought he’d managed to feign disinterest pretty well, at least enough to fool the other three. Hayato had been all too aware of his distraction, though, and had been deliberately provoking with his smoldering glances just before he leaned over casually to line up a shot, ass perfectly in Ryu’s line of view.

Ryu cursed to himself, even now, as he remembered how he’d had to tighten his grip on his pole cue as he’d been tempted to fist a hand in Hayato’s hair and jerk his head up for a kiss, in front of all and sundry. Tsuchi and the rest of them, well, they probably wouldn’t have minded terribly, Ryu thought dryly, recalling the three’s tendencies to cuddle everywhere—but the rest of the patrons of the pool hall might’ve been slightly less thrilled. It was a good way to attract bad attention, especially in a place like that.

So they’d waited until Ryu had dragged Hayato home with him and slammed him into the wall beside the door, pressing the full length of his body against his best friend and tilting his face up for the kiss. It had only progressed from there, though they’d managed to leave their clothes on until they’d been safe in Ryu’s room, door locked behind them. And then…well, then Ryu had seen the sultry look in Hayato’s eyes and had felt a heat pooling low in his belly. He’d ridden Hayato hard last night.

He was still sore, too, he reflected, shifting experimentally and wincing. But it was worth it. Hayato had been all biting and fierce and sex last night.

A hand crept up his thigh and clamped down hard. Hayato opened his eyes, smile sleepy. “G’morning,” he murmured, voice soft and slurred as he stretched his neck forward and stole a kiss.

Ryu gave him a look. “We should get up,” he said instead, rolling over and glancing at his clock. “If you don’t want to be late.”

Hayato seemed more occupied with other matters as his grip loosened on Ryu’s thigh and crept higher. “Nn,” he dissented sleepily, nuzzling Ryu’s neck and lapping unashamedly. “Who cares?”

Indulging himself for a minute, Ryu finally pulled away, sitting up and swinging his legs over the side of the bed. “Go back to sleep,” he said, rolling his eyes and shifting uncomfortably. He couldn’t help but smile at the pout Hayato immediately assumed, all the more endearing because of his state of only half-consciousness. “Or get up,” he added. “We do have class you know. Yankumi will bitch at you if you’re late.”

Hayato stretched and rolled over onto his back, tucking his hands languidly under his head. “Mmhmm,” he agreed noncommittally, eyes closing again.

Pulling on his school uniform, Ryu glanced occasionally over at his best friend and could see his breathing steady. He smiled to himself. Hayato was still in his wantonly disinterested pose, hands behind his head and sheet twisted around his hips, chest golden and bare and decorated with brightening sunlight. His hair was still completely hopeless and there were distinct love-bites all over his neck and chest area… Ryu shook his head, still smiling, and opened the door, ready to leave for school. Hayato would be fine on his own, though probably late. No one in the Odagiri household would bother to check on Ryu’s room, though, so Hayato should be safe until he deigned the time appropriate for his rising. Ryu, on the other hand, was going to school.

Ah, Kurogin… He used to loathe it through and through except for the time he was allowed to spend with Hayato and the others. Now, though…well, it was beginning to get interesting. Yamaguchi was an interesting character.

Ryu grabbed his bag and flipped it over his shoulder, slipping a hand into his pocket as he strolled out of the house. He wondered briefly what escapades today would bring, what lesson Yankumi would have, if she’d ever manage to teach them math—that would be quite a feat, Ryu thought near contemptuously--and then his thoughts wandered back to the boy lying naked in his bed.

Chuckling slightly, Ryu tossed his hair out of his eyes and let himself out the gate, hoping Hayato wouldn’t be too late.
